Documentary following the lives of a couple who live in the mountains and tame the wild horses. 
Craig is a Brumby runner; a  nugget cowboy, catching and breaking in these wild horses, Tahee is a champion whip cracker; she has the sort of determination and calm only someone who has faced death and survived can earn. They plan to marry and dream of living together in the isolation of the bush. They plan to set up a sanctuary for themselves and the wild horses where the Brumbies will be free from the threat of starvation and illegal hunting

As their wedding day nears, a firestorm devastates the mountains and kills hundreds of mountain Brumbies. The wedding is postponed.
